It was a Global shoot by all means…
The production house is based in Malaysia, the client is in Saudi, the Agency is from Lebanon, the crew is South African, the director is American, the DOP is Australian, the Visual Effects Director is Australian and the line producer is Indian.
As one Industrial psychologist said, Diversity outperforms!
It did.
The shoot was one of the most challenging shoots we've worked on.
We were shooting in the rocky deserts of Pella in Northern Cape, 7 hours away from Cape Town and at the Atlantis Dunes of Cape town, South Africa.
Aerial photography was a one of the most important aspects in realizing this film as most of shots had to capture the immensity of the desert and the performance of the SUV.
The chopper pilot on this shoot is Gert Uys who was the chopper pilot on movies like Blood Diamond, Lord of War, Catch the Fire and many more.
The car itself, the Land Cruiser 200 (SUV), was expected to perform.
It had to climb mountains and run across steep sand dunes.
With the help of precision driver Gideon Henderson, the car looked ravishing and conquered the land it touched very gracefully.
The postproduction of this project was the last bit but a pillar.
Our VFX director Timothy Grass managed 3 teams in parallel to deliver all the 3D work and dust effects and merged all this work the footage, making sure it comes across as natural as possible.
Looking at it now, we grin. We know we have delivered a fantastic film that made everyone involved proud!

July 2007 -- RGB Malaysia, under the leadership of Ralph Gomez, produced the 6th annual Citigold LUX Style Awards show for Unilever Pakistan.
Held in Genting Highlands Resort and endorsed by the government of Malaysia, the annual awards night is Pakistan’s premiere event in the film, television and fashion world, attracting an audience of over 30 million viewers.
Attended by all of Pakistan’s leading film stars, TV artists, pop music sensations and fashion divas, it was billed as the most technologically advanced show ever produced.
